welcome!
i suppose i'll do this too.
my name's nikki stavin, as you know, and i'm 19. turning 20 in 3 months (gosh, where does the time go??). i'm really into art and enjoy experimenting different forms and styles. going to art school for one year really helped me to open up with my work and i really enjoyed art history (mostly the modern section). i'm also obsessed with music (listening, not writing/performing), so much that i had to get a 500gb external hard drive to store my collection on! haha
something people are sometimes surprised to know is i kinda hate the furry community. a lot of it just isn't my thing. and i'm not into the fetish portion of it. i just like drawing 'em, they're fun, y'know? kinda bothers me when people assume i'm part of all that just because i draw furries, but i deal with it. i prefer to think of my furry characters as being basically human besides their appearance.
i guess that's all i wanna say!

Finally! A forum. Okay, an introduction. Hmm... well, I have two names: Marko Paolo T. Tan & Ang Cho Cheng. The latter is my name of Chinese heritage. I am part Chinese & part Filipino. I'm currently 18 Earth years of age (I just like presenting my age that way) & I'll be turning 19 on July 4 of 2008. I am bisexual, male, & still single . Ahhahahaha XD, that last one was probably inappropriate for this. I have a passion for being an illustrator, using traditional media. Although, I'm not all that good at drawing yet. I mostly draw concepts of anime or something anime-esque characters, combinations of character illustration & emotional texting, & Furry anthromorphs (which, is what I've been quite into at the moment). I'm currently trying to get better at making more emotional & somewhat romantic pictures. I have an account in dA, Sheezy, & FA. Music is my life-giver. My state of mood is highly sensitive to it (that could explain my constant mood swings. Ahhheheh...). Music inspires me & gives me the drive to create my works. I'm not into paying attention to its genres. If I like the song itself, then that's all that matters. These days, so many people just pay attention to the history, state, &/or popularity of the song's artist, the popularity of the song, or what category it belongs to, forgetting about the meaning/representation of the music. It really irritates me. (By the way, I'm listening to anime soundtracks while doing this XD). I'm an avid gamer, but I haven't been that way for a bit fo a while now. I don't own a PS3, 360, or Wii (hey, that rhymed :B!). But I still do have my PS One & PS2. The types of games I'm especially into are RPG's, MMORPG's, action-adventure, & RTS. Now, onto the reason to why I'm even in this forum. I found out about "Nine Lives" through someone's journal entry over at dA. Kind-of like with kerazyangel over there. When I started reading it, it was hard for me to take my eyes off it. I ADMIT that I was tempted to check it out due to reading that the characters were Furries. However, the combination of the different aspects of this comic, is what truly got me to keep an interest in it all. I'm very interested with how the story will progress. I have a favourite character! Renard! I'm not sure why, he just is X3. Well, that's about it, I guess (this sure took me a while). If you've got any questions or things to clarify about me, just ask me.

My apologies for annoying you all with this, but there were a few things that I intended on mentoning in my initial introduction & forgot to. It's just gonna be some pretty random stuff, so here goes!
Colours that I really like. Let's see, ummmmm... black, white, purple, shades of pink, & dark shades of blue, red, & gray. Although, I don't think black &/or white count as colours. Yup, me likes pink X3.
One of my other passions is dancing & I think I'm pretty good at it. I'll like any sort of music (as already mentioned before), but I've recently been very into soundtacks used for anime shows. And anime is also one of my interests, by the way.
I've already mentioned that I draw Furry characters. However, I've gotta mention that after a while of being... umm... explicitly into it, I've gotten pretty tired of being that way. But, that doesn't mean I don't like Furries anymore. I still like to put make pictures of them (I've already made up my own characters after all), I just try to draw them in other kinds of concepts which are mostly more emotional & heart-felt.
I also do a bit of literature every now & then. Mostly prose & poetry. I don't make much of it, though.
Well, that's about it (I hope). Again, I'm really sorry about being spammer with this, heheh. If you wanna know more about me, don't be afraid to ask me ^_^.

ummm, alright then, i guess i'll do this too?
my name is chelsea rae [no last name on internets, heheh, sorry]. i'm seventeen years old, and i live in the san francisco bay area. my main hobby is drawing, and i think i'm pretty decent at it, but i've got a long way to go still. i'm not majoring in art, though; i'm actually aiming to be a kindergarten teacher.
the biggest part of my life is my fiancée, jennifer. she and i have been together for two years, now, and engaged for about a month. she is the most amazing person i've ever met, and i don't think it's possible to love anyone or anything more than i love her. heheh, that sounds really sappy, but it's so true.
a friend sent me a link to nikki's dA account several months ago, and i immediately fell in love with her art. then i went toher website, and read all of nine lives that there was then . for me, the appeal of 9L is that the characters are all so REAL. not appearance-wise, of course, haha; their personalities just seem so genuine to me, and not contrived, like so many other characters.
heheh, i think i should stop rambling now.

Time for me to man up.
My name is Aaron Weiss. I live outside of Chicago, but I say Chicago for coolness sake. I love acting. It's like, (oh em gee) my thing. I'm 17, turning 18 in January. Got accepted to a couple colleges already, but I'm still applying. I'm very particular about the kinds of music I like, but the music I don't like is new country. I do like pro wrestling (oh, hush. We're not all dumb rednecks, and we know it's fake.) I play video games, mostly sports-related. I have a monsterous vinyl collection. I'm mildly good-looking, but could stand to lose a few pounds. And I'm single. AND (sorry) I can play the bass to an extent.
Whee!
EDIT: I should add a couple more things.
I found nine lives by way of Onlinecomics.net, when I was searching for gay/lesbian-related comics. I don't know why, but GLBT love stories are always more fascinating to me.
Anyways, I want to be a radio DJ "when I grow up" (I hate using that phrase), and, um, ok that's it.
For real.
OH and my favorite food is steak.
Ok, done.
Really.

Alright, an intro thread. I'm Michelle V. I am Twenty-Old. ;D I was raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, lived in the suburbs of Chicago, that are many miles away from actual Chicago for a couple of years, and I now live in highly flammable Southern California. I went to the college for Design, art, architecture and planning, at the University of Cincinnati for too many years (just the "Art" part, not that other stuff), I learned a few things, but didn't graduate at the end of the day. Oh, well. Now I just think up all kinds of art projects to do that I don't have time for including but not limited to the erratically updated webcomic, Real Bands Need Electric Guitars. (I also have one of those job things, but who cares about that?!) I enjoy music, and annoying people with theme based mixes, woxy.com radio, and dragging people to Travis concerts. I also make long rambling posts on internet forums which nobody replies to except for myself. As for this place, I found 9 lives because I'm always perusing the new things over at Onlinecomics, and I found it, then I lost it for a while, then I found it again and I just like the story a lot and I look forward to seeing where it goes.

[/img] [ftp][/ftp] i guess its my turn... my name is Oscar Eduardo Alejandro Jimenez, im 19 and ill be 20 in august of the next year (yeah Nikki we almost have the same age) until the summer of this year, i havnt had any formation of art, so i learned to draw and color by the net looking on sketches of other people (thats why i love sketchy art). even to color in photoshop i had to learn by the hard way the how to use it... after a while i found that there were tutorials trough the net, so i just learned some tricks, the hard of the basic was done by the time XD.... im studing now in the college, in graphic desing, but im more in the art way than the desing, so most of the works i do are more artistic than commercial... yeah the customer is something irrelevant to me... ill end in the poorness XDU... anyway... i like more traditional media than digital, expet for colouring, i have had really bad experiences with the colouring in traditional... .__.||| about nikki, what i love from her art is that expresion in the eyes, i feel it deep, you know?.... also, the mere personalities of the characters (my favorites are renard, marco and marie). i have a friend who's living like wolf by now (a chained man-sleeper XD) yeah, also, something irrelevant to me is that im not in the furry-dom, i just was bored of seeing humans, so i found antrophomipic art interesting (thats its real name, not furry) and for now, im drawing furry... the music i like is classical, neo-classical, techno and songs that sounds good or help me to enter in a specific mood. so when i draw i can do it even more easy i work in a furry-mature magazine called "softpaw" i appeared in the 1st number and havnt had time to do another story for the mag... the college eats my time to draw for the mag (also my own social-life takes me time) XD one of my prefered quotes are "if you lived it, then you can draw it", i guess its original by me, well, i dunno... if someone has readed it before, please tell me, so i can credit the author XDU some tuff random from me: · im gay and with a boyfriend, yeah! · i dont look or act or talk or anything as "normal" or "stereotyped" gay people, i found digusting femenine guys D: · i have a fetish-like for headphones, im in search of the "perfect sound" · all of my friends and almost all my family know about my sexual preferance XD · even that i like thechno music i just have gone to a disco once O.o... i guess it all for now... daft punk rules! Hmm... I think I notice that we've got certain things in common, Mr. Jimenez. Especially in regards with music. Daft Punk is amazing!

Hey, Gurnee, isn't that where the Outlet mall is? I never made it that far north, but I used to work in Lincolnshire, (worst commute EVER) and my Uncle still lives in Mundeline. No offense to Indiana or anything, but I'd probably say I lived in Chicago too. (I say as if Ohio is a super exciting place to live!)
